About this product
The Pioneer DDJ-SZ is a professional 4-channel DJ controller designed for Serato. It features a tabletop form factor with two decks, 16 performance pads, and a built-in 4-channel mixer. Inputs include 2 mic, 2 phono, and 2 line inputs, plus digital RCA/coaxial S/PDIF in/out. It supports 24-bit/44.1kHz audio and offers plug-and-play connectivity. Made in Japan, this flagship controller is priced at $1,330.
Our take
The DDJ-SZ is a beast. As a Serato user, I appreciate the plug-and-play setup—just connect USB and go. The 16 pads are responsive for cue points and loops, and the 4-channel mixer with dual phono inputs means I can hook up turntables alongside digital decks. The build quality is top-notch, made in Japan. At $1,330, it's an investment, but the layout and feel are professional-grade. My only complaint: it's large and heavy—not great for portability. But for a home studio or club install, it's fantastic.
