Our take
The DDJ-SX2 has been my go-to for Serato sets. The 4-channel layout lets me juggle multiple tracks and samples, and the 16 pads are great for hot cues and loops. The BPM counter is handy for beatmatching on the fly. I love the jog wheel illumination – it looks sharp and helps in low light. The included case is a nice bonus for transport. However, I notice the build feels a bit less robust than the RX series, and the USB power limitation means I rely on laptop battery. Also, it's an older model, so it lacks some newer features. Still, for Serato users wanting a capable controller with a case, it's a solid buy.
